Our Camping Trip of 2015

Around this time every year, my family and I go camping off-the-grid for the weekend. Literally no cell service for miles (I would have to drive down the mountain and in to town in order for my cell to function). That's what I call an amazing vacation! No chimes or ding for emails or texts. Pure silence. Perfecto!

Pictures will be posted once I'm back in the land of technology. And hopefully I remember to blog about my trip, haha! #slacker.  I will probably post them on my Instagram first, lol.

Our Family Vacation of 2015

We went to OBX (North Carolina) last week with Steven's family. I forgot to pack my point & shoot, so I only had my cell to take pictures. And I actually didn't really take too many....... Boooooooo!

We went ziplining, jet skiing, to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, to The Wright Brothers Memorial, to the North Carolina Aquarium, to the beach and hung out at the house we rented.

Family Camping Trip of 2014

This post got lost in the mix of all the drafts I have listed..... Oops!

I turned 31 years old around Labor Day Weekend, and we did what we do every year to celebrate......... CAMPING!!!!

This year we decided to take the kids with us, because normally we go without them. Where we camp has a small bear population so we were worried they'd freak, ha!........ plus sometimes us adults just need a vacation sans kids, am I right? You know I am.

We went to our usual place, Ricketts Glen State Park. Literally off the grid. The kids had a GREAT time, Dylan more than Delaney of course (can't take the Jersey out of the little girl apparently). The sights are always beautiful, it's quiet as all hell there, and electronics do not work-- you have to drive off site, out of the park, and down the mountain to the corner store parking lot in order to get service! I told ya, off the grid. Awesomesauce!!!

Steven and I had a nice time too, lol. The one thing I look forward to each year is the camping trip for sure.

Family Vacation of 2014

I know I am late in posting this.... what else is new, LOL!

So this year, the kids wanted to go back to Hershey Park for family vacation. We had a great time when we were there two years ago, so why not? Booked a hotel, bought park tickets, and we were all set!

After five days of hotel, theme park, water park, and chocolate world..... we traveled to the middle of the woods, literally off the grid, to go tent camping. Hear all about that adventure tomorrow!
