Reading Blogs

How do you keep track of all the blogs you read?

I feel like I have a hard time keeping up with the people I want to read. I know a few direct links and I'll type those in to the browser.... but it's hard to remembers EVERYONE'S link, ya know?

Through blogger.com, a list pops up..... but I don't think that's accurate (because there's a few there I do not even remember reading at all). I'd like to be able to add links to a list, and then be able to tweak the list if need be. And obviously be able to read the blogs, haha!

Vikings Season 4 Episode 1, on History Channel

So, who else was freakin' stoked as all that Vikings was back on TV last night?

Hallelujah!!!

As per usual, the episode was great. Right off the bat it started up with drama, which is sweet. I even yelled out "Oh shit!" at one point. Because it's about to get real up in Kattegat.

Rollo, my main man, surprised me..... and not in a nice way. I think I know where his story line is going, and I will not be pleased. But I am a huge fan, so I will continue watching (as I did after my favorite character was no longer on the show)

P.S. Two years ago, I googled and found out that these characters were real people, and then as I read reading.... lets just say I read a lot of spoilers (I am annoyed, but that is my own fault, lol) so I kinda know what's gonna go down.

Skol!

Valentine's Day 2016

Valentine's Day was this past Sunday.

Steven and I went out to dinner at a restaurant in Cape May, NJ (an hour drive from where we live). But it was totally worth it because the place was super cute and the food was DELISH!!! I wanted to take a picture of it, but didn't want to look like that freak who had to have her phone out while on a date.

After dinner, Steven wasn't feeling super great, so we decided to come home a little early and watch a movie with the kids. Delaney likes Into The Woods (Dylan not so much), so we thought that Grease would go over well. How wrong we were! The kids were NOT feeling it. At all.  After the kids went to bed, Steven and I watched The Lake House (my Keanu obsession runs deep, people)-- I hadn't seen it in awhile and Steven never had. He liked it though, so that was good. Then he gave me a box of Russell Stover's assorted caramels, so the night was complete!!!

I had a great time on our date, and we vowed to do them more often.

That Time Your Husband Got Pneumonia

My husband is the type of man who absolutely HATES sitting around vegging out in his pajamas. He'd rather be doing yard work, or a house project, or even scrubbing a toilet sparkly clean..... but laying around watching TV or a movie? Phsssssssh.....

So anyway, last Tuesday, Steven wasn't feeling super great, but we both chalked it up to the weather. Wednesday he did his normal routine of going to work, then the gym, the home to eat dinner. Not feeling the best, but it was a long day. On Thursday he went to work, then went out with friends to a bar. He got home at 1AM (which is so unlike him, but he was having fun). Friday he was dragging butt at work, but figured it was because he stayed out crazy late. Saturday he felt like garbage, but we went to my niece's 1st birthday party anyway. Sunday was Valentine's Day, and he put on a brave face, but I could tell he wasn't feeling too great *more on Valentine's Day in tomorrow's post*. Monday I had off of work, kids had off of school and he had off of work..... it turned in to a laying around watching movies kinda day, since he felt awful.

Today is Tuesday, and he went to the doctor. VIRAL PNEUMONIA! Are you freaking kidding me right now?!?!

So he is pretty much sulking in our bedroom, because he knows he has to stay in bed to get better. The doctor gave me a Rx that says "no work till Feb 20". He has to take a z-pack and Robitussin.

I'd kill to 1. have a day off of work (okay, I realize I just had one, but they are far and few between), and 2. to lay around and watch any TV show or movie I wanted without being interrupted by anyone.

How we are a compatible pair is beyond me!

No One Likes To Speak About Death

On January 8, 2015, Steven's grandmother passed away.....
On July 31, 2015, my grandmother passed away at the age of 99.....
On August 26, 2015, Steven's other grandmother passed away at the age of 72.....
On January 8, 2016, my other grandmother passed away at the age of 92.....

My children have lost 4 great-grandparents in the span of a year.

Funerals are always tough, especially when your children are old enough to understand what's going on and have true feelings for the person who passed away. My children knew both my grandmothers well and Steven's one grandma (who passed suddenly in August) very, very well. We got through them all, knowing that they are up in Heaven with Jesus.

John 14:2My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
