Pink Heels Pink Truck

This is the fifth edition of Literary Junkies Link Up, but it's my first go-around. Let's give this a try shall we?

1. Currently Reading:  The fourth book in The Mortal Instruments series. From Amazon.com: The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She's training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And—most importantly of all—she can finally call Jace her boyfriend. But nothing comes without a price. Someone is murdering Shadowhunters, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second, bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side—along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. Not to mention that he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls—neither of whom knows about the other one.
I'm so sucked in to the character's lives and I want to see how it all plays out. It's a real page turner, I never want to put the book down.

2. When I was a teenager, my therapist gave me this book out of his collection. He told me I could keep it.  I read it and it really opened my eyes. I'm a better human being because of this book.

3. I will always recommend Harry Potter to someone who wants to read a great series about friends, loyalty, love, and how to defeat evil. I grew up on Harry Potter and it's a part of my soul now.      I will also recommend any James Patterson book, as I've read 95% of his work and haven't been disappointed (well, once or twice  LOL).

4. Top 3 book on my "to-read" list are: City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare, Bared To You by Sylvia Day & Matched by Allie Condie.

5. I always have a drink near by while I am reading. No music on. No TV on. Pure silence. Just me and my Kindle, bonding over a good read.

Don't forget to go link up & join the fun!!

  4. I'm reading the first book in the Mortal Instruments but it's just not "grabbing me". I know I'll finish it and then decide if I'll read more. Do the books get "better"? Did you love the first one?
