Book Club Friday

Can I do THREE books for Book Club Friday?  Well, I'm going to, so here goes.......

#1 - Matched (Matched #1) by Allie Condie
I started a new book two weeks ago. I got a free sample through Amazon.com for my Kindle, since I heard good things about the book but didn't wanna go all in and it be junk, ya know. I liked the sample (it was the first two chapters). I liked it so much I wanted to continue reading right then and there so I splurged and got the book.  But all of a sudden the book just stopped dead for me. Ya know when a story is new it needs to explain some background detail so you understand the new settings and surroundings and all that. It's STILL doing that into chapter 16. Move on already!  I would like to see where the storyline goes for the three main characters (another love triangle *sticks out tounge*). Matched is a Trilogy, so I'm sure I'll read the other two... eventually.

#2 - Bared To You (Crossfire #1) by Slyvia Day
I'm so in need of a REAL adult book. I've been on YA kick for sometime now... and I'm over teenage drama, hahaha!!  Anyway, I could not put this book down. It's pretty much Fifty Shades of Grey, but the characters are much more real and likeable, and it's written WAY better. I seriously devoured this book, that's how much I was into it!!!  A must read.

#3- Reflected In You (Crossfire #2) by Sylvia Day
Yep, right on to book two people, that's how I roll. Keep up, haha! I blew through this book too. Lots of stuffed happened, I was digging it big time, and I personally didn't see the ending coming. I cannot wait for the third book to come out on June 4th, lol.  Did you jump on the Crossfire series yet?

Don't forget to link up and share!!

  3. I remember hearing about Matched before it was even released and wanting to read it. Of course all three books have now been released and I've yet to read a single one. But I'm still hoping to finally get to that trilogy soon!

  4. I enjoyed Matched, but the second Crossed was very hard for me to get through. I've heard Reached is good though.
