Our Camping Trip of 2015

Around this time every year, my family and I go camping off-the-grid for the weekend. Literally no cell service for miles (I would have to drive down the mountain and in to town in order for my cell to function). That's what I call an amazing vacation! No chimes or ding for emails or texts. Pure silence. Perfecto!

Pictures will be posted once I'm back in the land of technology. And hopefully I remember to blog about my trip, haha! #slacker.  I will probably post them on my Instagram first, lol.

The Fourth of July 2015

Spent the day in Ocean City, NJ with my parents, and my sister and her family. We put the kids on the rides, walked the boardwalk and sat on the beach to see the fireworks. It was an amazing day!

Easter 2015 Recap

*A writing prompt from Mama Kat*

Easter Sunday, the kids got up at 6:30am and immediately woke us up. Both the kids believe in the Easter Bunny still (I'm not rushing their childhood, thankyouverymuch) so they wanted to see what he brought. They got a chocolate bunny, marshmallow peeps, jelly beans and a few other small things in their baskets. The Easter Bunny doesn't go crazy here, as Jesus is the main focus of the holiday.

The only picture I got before they

started tearing into their baskets, lol

An egg hunt in the backyard was after that.
Of course, no pictures :(

Had breakfast, got dressed and ready.... then headed to church.

Then we drove down to my mom's house for Easter dinner. My sister and her family came too.

Some pictures from the day:

Spring Break 2015

Spring Break was amazing this year. Steven took the week off of work, and we did a "stay-cation" of sorts. Lots of small things done locally... and we stayed home to just hangout and relax too. Best kind of spring breaks!

I hated waking up to an alarm clock this morning, lol.

Saturday: Went to the Crayola Factory in Eastern, PA. Came home and dyed Easter eggs.

Sunday: Sunday service followed by going to my parents house for Easter dinner.

Monday: We went Geocaching! Spent 4 hours out on LBI finding a bunch of caches. Dylan had soccer practice at nighttime.

Tuesday: Rainy day, so we stayed home and played board games. We also watched a movie.

Wednesday: Went to visit Steven's grandparents in the Bronx.

Thursday: Stayed home and Dylan had a friend come over to hangout. Dylan had soccer practice at nighttime.

Friday: Stayed home, watched movies all day and had a family camp out in the living room.

Saturday: We traveled to the Cape May Zoo, stopped by a small tchotchke store at the end of Cape May, then on to Geocaching (for about two hours), and then out to dinner.

Sunday: Dylan had his first soccer game of the spring season, then we went to my parent's house for dinner. Game of Thrones stated back up again...

Some pictures from the week are below. I didn't concentrate on taking pictures, but to just be in the moment with my family:

Some Good News!!

This was written on June 19

Jessica (my only sister) called me this morning, making me swear up and down that I won't tell a soul what she's about to tell me. Without hesitation I said, "You're pregnant?" and she said, "Yes" and then I said, "Seriously?" and she said, "Yes", in which I replied with ".....Seriously?" and she said, "Yes!!!!"...... and then I got all giddy and jumped for joy!!! I'm so happy for her.... and her husband too, of course, lol.

Jessica's children will be 18 months apart (she has a 9 months old already), which is cool because my sister and I are 21 months apart..... and we got along mostly well while growing up. And we are closer than ever now that we are adults.

Such an exciting time for our family!!!

My niece or nephew is due on February 19
