I have some questions.... and I'm sure they are basic Blogging knowledge, but I'm gonna ask anyway. #herecomesthenoob
1. I am big on the "Google Following" on my blog. Ya know, the blue button on the side of most everyone's blog that says Follow. When I started blogging that's how you kept track of the blogs you liked to read. P.S. I dislike change. Anyway, right now I have 25 followers there, which is fine by me..... but I feel like because everyone PROBABLY uses Bloglovin' now, that no one actually follows blogs the old way anymore. Is that true? And do I need to step up my Bloglovin' game? (I have one, and BARELY use it). And is that where you read your blog roll as well??
2. Does anyone SERIOUSLY use Google+ ? It looks like a Facebook wall to me, but I cannot for the life of me jump on that banwagon.
3. Where do I find the code for that box where I can put a HTML code so people can take my button, if they choose to do so? Can't find it anywhere, haha.
1. Forget GFC its a thing of the past for sure at least in my eyes, I read blogs on feedly and or on bloglovin.

1. I rely on the blogger to post on their facebook that a new post is up and then I will click through their link to read but I don't have a ton of subs that I'm trying to keep up with either since I spend more of my time writing. If I did have several to keep up with I probably would go right to BL.
ReplyDelete2. I use G+ as means to promote my posts and connect with businesses/clients. From my own personal observation there doesn't seem to be a lot of people using it for personal use like you see on Facebook. It seems to be mostly people using it for work or business. I also see tons of bloggers on there.

ReplyDelete1) GFC is slowly dying out :( soon that number won't reallly matter so YES try to work on your Bloglovin numbers. I don't like Bloglovin for reading- personally- and I use Feedly, but, I know a lot of people do use Bloglovin and it's becoming big in the world of 'stats'.
2) Unfortunately, Goolge+ is important in the blogging world. It's important to promote your posts via Google+. I don't really use it for personal reasons but just to connect with other bloggers and promote my posts.
3) I don't know the answer- I'm sorry ;)

I use every social network I can to help promote my blog - Twitter, Facebook, Google +, Pinterest, Bloglovin, etc. I would suggest to use as many as possible if you are really looking for maximum exposure.
